Meet Caroline

Your adoptee specialist counsellor

Are you seeking support and understanding on your therapy journey or maybe you have tried a few counsellors before? Meet Caroline Spiers, a BACP (British Association Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and Australian Counselling Association accredited counsellor since 2009. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to walking alongside individuals on their therapeutic journey of navigating life’s challenges, Caroline is here to guide you with empathy, patience and understanding, always through trauma informed practice.

I believe in truly listening to and helping to guide people according to their individual personal history with an emphasis on non-judgement, building strengths and responding empathically. I have worked with a wide range of issues including people affected by adoption (I have lived experience as an adoptee and worked with, and continue to support, a large number of adoptees), anxiety, depression, couples counselling, schizophrenia, addiction and trauma.

Expertise for adoptees: A Personal and Professional Journey

Caroline brings a unique perspective to her practice as a specialist supporting people affected by adoption, both as an adoptee herself and as someone who has dedicated her career to working with adoptees. She understands the complexities, pain, and struggle that comes with being adopted, and she’s here to offer you the insight and compassion you are seeking to manage this unique trauma experience.
